Which group is the most interesting?

Rich people? Poor people? You know both are interesting. It’s not the amount of money you have in the bank (or in some cases if they have money in the bank at all), it’s more about what happens to your characters, especially the things that come as a complete shock.

Rich People

They tend to have their own unique worries. Managing the estate(s). Interest rates. Investments. Shady brokers (one of my personal favorites of their worries), and disappearing jewels.

It’s not that readers relate to the very wealthy, because most of the time they do not, it’s more that readers find it interesting and even surprising that those in the upper income brackets can have many of the same troubles that they themselves face. Things such as loss of loved ones, villainous relatives, backstabbing friends (former ones most likely), and of course there is sickness and injury that every human on the planet can be forced to endure.

Poor People

Even though some of my readers may relate to people who are quite poor, it can also be surprising to them that even the poorest of people are not always honest and hardworking. If fact, in some cases, they bring a lot of misery onto themselves simply by trying to shortcut the road to riches and laying back when they should be putting their noses to the grindstone.

My Work Includes Both Rich And Poor

Yes, CounterClockwise includes those who are very rich and those who are very poor. However, I also have. a number of characters who are well on their way up or down – depending on their circumstances. Not to mention depending how much I like them – LOL
