That’s what CounterClockwise is in a nutshell. A time travel love story.

Young Claire finds that she keeps having the same dreams over and over. About a previous life. One lived many decades ago. And those dreams are clear, and detailed.

What I do from there is to expand the story, to a time in the 19th century when Claire lived a short, but extremely complex, life as a Mexican woman, named Maria.

I have also expanded the characters surrounding Claire in her dreams to make their lives important to the story. Maria, Nora, Connie, Richard, Tracy, Hector, Frankie and Maclaren, are brought to life in ways that give more meaning and depth to the dreams teenage Claire experienced.

How It All Works

I bring people together in ways that make sense. Weaving the story, oftentimes off the cuff, to bring together the principle players, and also add some interesting supporting characters.

Also, I’m not at the end of the series. I thought I might be, but no, I’m not. There’s still lots to tell. Books 4, 5 and maybe even 6 and 7, could all be possible, starting in the next year.

There’s no official “countdown” as yet, however my creative inspiration is very strong and for whatever reason there is that makes a writer write, I’m not by any means ready to let go of CounterClockwise.
