Where Is Nora From?

Nora Wells was born and raised in the state of Virginia, however, her parents both come from across the pond in England.

Going Back

Both her mother and father were born into families of wealth and some importance. An uncle on her father’s side was an Navy Admiral, and an aunt on her mother’s side married a Duke. Also, that same aunt, Lady Helen, was a lady in waiting to Queen Victoria. This gave Nora quite the leg up in the world and both family and friends felt certain it would lead to a very advantageous marriage.

How Nora Dealt With That Slippery Sinclair Guy

Ahh….Nora was so much more than just a pretty face! Even at the tender age of 17, she had an eye for what was simply “not right.” This ability kept her from falling into many a trap in her life. Well….you know….there was an exception.

What About Her Mom?

Her father, as you may remember from my last post, was Sir Brantley Evans. And her mother, Lady Patricia Tesslay-Evans, does play a small, but very important, role in CounterClockwise…..eventually.

So, I kind of spilled the proverbial beans here. I’m adding another volume to this series. Maybe two. But they will be different. Dive deeper into the past, and bring in details that may surprise (and no doubt shock sometimes) those who already know this work.

And that’s it my friends for this Thursday blog post. I hope today finds all of you very well!

Nancy

So Nora was high born? That figures. She is too smart and sophisticated not to have been given a first class education. Loving the story!

It does figure that Nora had parents who were wealthy and connected. An aunt lady in waiting to Queen Victoria? That’s a nice twist! Perhaps you can expand on that? It would be fun!

I imagine that they were among the nicer rich people in their day. Probably helped out others as much as they could. Nora had to get her giving nature from someone.

I like it that you’re going back to the family line, and telling more about Nora’s roots. She’s a complex character and that makes for an excellent read.
